Pistol Presentation

Something a little shiny.

Recently, it was brought to my attention that I needed to work on my high-poly modeling, and that I should take a break from the gun project I was working on. So, I did. I’ve put several hours into this piece, and I love it. I’m extremely happy with how it came out. This was also my first run with PBR and Marmoset ToolBag 2. I’ve learned quite a bit from this project. But, I will not be heading right back to the other project just yet, I’m going to do at least one more practice piece first and then I’ll get back to it. Thank you to everyone for the support.

Gun Update

I’ve been working on this for a couple days now off and on, for a few hours a day. trying to redesign the Winterizer from Ratchet & Clank… and I think I’m almost done. I’ve done a lot of work on it, and I think the last thing it needs is some support for the arm, or I’ll leave it the way it is. But I like it. after the inital design is done, I’ll do some buffering for the hi-rez in maya, and then bring it into zbrush for detailing. Then off to photoshop to texture it. Its been a damn fun project so far. Enough of my words, here are some pictures.

Original Concept:

My progress/screen caps:

Been quite a while since my last post.

Warning: I did not make the concept… obviously.

Currently working on this as a side project. Changing up the design a bit, but the same general idea. the way its held is different as well as there is an ammo clip. I will primarily be keeping the front section, but changing the rest.

Warning: I did not make the concept… obviously.

I am also working on a new scene to take a break from the other scene I was working on, which I will get back to at some point.
